Hall of Honor Nominee Submissions

The MPA Hall of Honor (HOH) was established to recognize and honor the men and women, Officer, Enlisted, and civilian personnel who have exhibited distinguished service and been instrumental in shaping the platforms, personnel, systems, and war fighting capabilities of the MPR community. As such, inductees must have had a significant and long-lasting impact on the community and their nomination must address the criteria established below. Individuals considering submitting nominations must ensure that their candidate’s accomplishments and contributions are indeed worthy of consideration for this prestigious award.

Individuals selected to the Hall of Honor will be recognized at the Heritage Dinner, or the MPA Ball, during the annual Maritime Patrol Association Symposiums.

 

Qualification Guideline Criteria are as follows:

A. Nominees must have served, are currently serving, and/or have a dedicated professional relationship with the MPRF Community, to include allied personnel whose service supported the MPRF community and the United States Navy.

B. During their service nominees must have distinguished themselves in three or more of the following areas:

  1. Exhibited heroic and/or historic acts both in and out of combat.
  2. Performed specific actions that may be held up to current and future community members as examples of exceptional dedication to the community and the United States Navy.
  3. Truly exemplified themselves as aviators, leaders, mentors, and dedicated professionals who significantly contributed to warfighting capabilities that served both the Community and the United States Navy.
  4. Served in leadership positions and while doing so had a substantial impact on the present and future capabilities of the community, it’s platforms and its personnel.
  5. Been instrumental in the introduction and integration of new platforms, tactics, and systems.
  6. Played a significant role in the development of personnel and/or warfighting capabilities.

***Please note: Current sitting MPA Board Members cannot are not eligible for nomination until they are no longer members of the board.
